After twenty years of use, the beloved Meyerhoff Children's Garden needed to be refreshed as the historic Central Library renovations were drawing to a close. The scope of work included finish updates, replacement of mechanical units, new audio-visual systems, and lighting systems to complement the architectural design of the interiors. The Children's Garden has three primary spaces, the day room, the twilight corridor and the night room, each with a unique ambiance. The natural ambiance of the rising and setting sun is presented with theatrical lighting. The original stone walls and architectural features were cleaned and repointed.
